The General Directorate of Monuments Administration and Tourist Promotion of Hunedoara County (GDMATP) is a public institution under the coordination of the Hunedoara County Council that was established in 2021 with the main purpose of protecting and enhancing the Dacian fortresses from the Orăștiei Mountains, as well as the historical monuments and memorial houses of local interest. Description

The piece made of limestone has a hemispherical shape and is decorated with seven ribs. In an advanced state of decay, it still shows some of its decorative elements. Such pieces were discovered in the sacred area and in the emplecton of the fortification from Grădiștea de Munte – Sarmizegetusa Regia. In the archaeological literature, it is assumed that such pieces had a decorative role, most probably, within some constructions from the sacred area of the settlement.
